shadiworks came to fruition in 2005.

I work directly with the spatial and program needs of the client. Each project is unique and considers the existing context. I like to design using a a generative process by exploring materials, light, volumes and color.

Shadi Khadivi graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2005 with a Master of Architecture. Upon graduation she received a Fulbright Grant to document a Kurdish squatter district in Izmir, Turkey. In 2012 she was a recipient of a S.O.S. New York Foundation for Arts Grant. She was raised in Dallas, Texas and a native of New Mexico. She has taught architectural design studios at Wentworth Institute of Technology and Parsons the New School of Design. Shadi lives in Albany with her husband, Jason and their son.
